JudgeÂ’s Comments: I loved the submission by AHF. The design was simple but still aesthetically pleasing and the unique shape helps it to standout. It was well written with only the information potential sponsors would need. I really liked that they included a quote from a past sponsor who was able to speak to all of the benefits of sponsoring the conference. I also thought they did a wonderful job previewing the other partnership/advertising opportunities without making it confusing, or taking away from their immediate goal — conference sponsorship.

Judge’s Comments: Comment on Silver Winner NACS — This had one of the best overall designs of the entries. It was a crisp, well-organized design. The content was well written and had the right information about the audience advertisers would want to know before deciding to advertise. What, I found really informative was the breakdown of the “top selling categories” in the stores. I could see how for potential advertisers this would help to give them an advantage to determine their advertising. The editorial calendar was well laid out with the right information for booking advertising as well as a good overview of what would be featured in that month’s issue. They also did a good job organizing each of the various advertising opportunities whether it be for the website, the e-newsletter, the trade show or the magazine.

Judge’s Comments: Comment on Bronze Winner MSCI — The Forward magazine media kit was well organized and designed. While it was not the “flashiest” design it also wasn’t lacking. More importantly, the content was well written and it was very clear for me, as a potential advertiser, who I would be reaching and what I would get for my investment. I really liked that the advertising kit included a quote from a reader, while others included quotes from other advertisers, this was a unique advantage. I also liked that in addition to the editorial calendar, the kit included an overview of their “regular departments,” providing a bit more information about the content advertisements would be featured with.
