    Achieving elearning lift off

Ideas for producing, packaging and pricing programs

    By Tracy King, M.A., CAE | 07/27/2017

Digital learning is an imperative in workforce development — but achieving eLearning lift off just by offering courses is not a given. Over the past two months I’ve guest blogged for Blue Sky eLearn about strategies for setting your programs apart.

    Producing

Creating Engaging Content: In online learning, we’re always one click away from the window closing. What are you doing to compel learners to stay? Bells and whistles will have little effect if you don’t first create engaging content. These five strategies will turn blah into hurrah!

Increase Value by Cutting Content: No, that’s not a typo. If you intend to deliver real value through online learning, you’ve got to cut your content.

    Packaging

3 Ways to Rock Your Portal Homepage: A learning portal home page is your first impression to woo and win your target audience. Consider these three strategies to drive results.

    Pricing

Sponsorships That Sell: You have a lot more in common with your prospective sponsors than you may suspect. If you think about it, you both offer value, you both seek to be sustainable businesses, and you share a common target market. You are also both seeking to nudge that target market through the buyer’s journey to invest in what you offer. And since research shows over 70% of buyers conduct over half of their research online before making an offline purchase, your online learning portal is prime real estate for partnering.

Price Your eLearning Right: One of the most common mistakes I see in pricing eLearning is exclusively applying the old one-time registration model. When we realize eLearning is not bound by the same constraints as in-person events, new opportunities multiply our revenue potential.

Use these insights to develop a digital strategy that will generate results exceeding your expectations.
