According to the Abila 2016 Member Professional Development Study, across all generations members choose their associations as the “go-to” source for professional development, training, and education, 60 percent of the time. However, that’s not the only choice for members. Both Millennials (56 percent) and Generation Xers (60 percent) also turn to their employer as the key resource for professional development. Other sources, including college or university, training institute, and even a networking group rank high as resources amongst Millennials and Generations Xers.
